This Arts and Crafts/Shaker inspired piece was designed to make the best of some beautiful figured black
walnut I had been saving. I was able to work the curves of the piece with the natural curves in the grain of
the incredible curly walnut. The interior of the cabinet is African mahogany with its light amber color to
contrast the deep colors of the black walnut. It currently has two adjustable shelves, but could easily be
fitted with a wine rack if my customer so desires. The piece features a solid poplar dovetailed drawer with
hidden under mount ball bearing drawer slides with a nice soft-close feature. The piece is hand rubbed with
multiple layers of oil polyurethane to highlight the figure of the wood and provide maximum protection.
